So, it seems most many people will be leaving the country in some way or another for Easter hols. So, what is everyone planning on doing for Easter hols, out of curiousity?

One of the fourth years lent me this Muggle book series called Lord of the Rings. Right now there is just a bunch of wandering about, but in general I've noticed a lot of similarities in Norse Mythology and the book series. Has anyone else ever read it?

So, while the big news of the day seems to be the appearance made by Harry Potter at Hogwarts, I was really just happy enough to see Dad again, even if he was busy talking about his department. You know, I really thought Ms. Campbell's talk on her department was the most intriguing. I guess that is no surprise considering it is the Department of Mysteries. Though Mr. Cooper made the travelling and languages seem exciting as well. Still, I think they forgot to mention the sheer amount of paperwork that goes in to a Ministry job.

Loads and loads of scrolls and parchment and ink.

Which is kind of nice when you're writing something you really want to be writing, or reading an old poem or book, but somehow the mundane details of work, however important just don't seem as interesting.

Speaking of, anyone have any book recommendations? I'm thinking of making a list (for you Teeny).

Feb. 7th, 2010

Congratulations Hufflepuff, well played.

So, practices have begun, and I have to admit that I never knew dancing could be so... acrobatic. It's quite fun, but very tiring. I'm still struggling on some of the notes, but, it is only the first week of practices right?

Sigh. Well, on to Potions essay.

Risk, the game of world domination, is probably one of the best games I've ever played. I truly wish we had a Risk club like the one we have for Gobstones, but not nearly as much as a wish we had a History of Magic Club.

So, what does everyone plan on doing in this musical if you plan on participating at all?

Private to Teeny & Dora
It is quite possible that I pretty much fancy Adam Montague. I thought you should know.
End of Private

"When our actions do not,
Our fears do make us traitors. "

I finally finished reading Macbeth, Dora, and although a bit gruesome, I would say it is definitely better than Romeo & Juliet.

Other than that this week I have discovered I'm horrible at poker, and Stewie makes a fantastic singing-Cupid.

Oh, and good luck to Gryffindor on Saturday!

Can anyone read this?

Private to Self.
So, second month without talking to Ioan begins. A bit strange considering that Darcy has left. I wonder if Veronica is doing alright without Ben and Darcy here. Lynne never talks about Ben, which maybe is for the best. Maybe it is easier this way.
End of Private.

Eleanor does not like walks. Eleanor does not like libraries. Eleanor likes sweets and lots of attention, and she actually likes sleep. Thank Merlin, Circe, and Dumbledore. I'm beginning to feel more and more like I'm seven again, pretending that my doll is my child and that we're going to have a big tea party. As lifelike and cute as little Eleanor Yeatman is, she's, well, not real at all, and in two weeks she won't be here anymore.

So, Valentine's Day. Hmm. Did you know that of the two known St. Valentine's there is no historical evidence of any romantic stories at all? They gained romantic connotations after the Middle Ages. However, the Roman holiday of Lupercalia was a widely celebrated fertility rite (haha) held around the 13th to 15th of February centering around the goddess Juno.

Hexed Against Teeny Kirke, Hexed to Teeny Kirke's Close Friends
It is Teeny's birthday in a few days, and I'd really like to have a small get together of sorts, but I'm not sure how to go about it exactly? Any ideas?

If you could meet one witch or wizard from the past, who would you want to meet?

Last week seemed so much more entertaining than this one. Other than losing Zipporah and finding her. I finally have figured out, with help, how to successful brew a Draught of Peace, which Professor Jigger has heavily hinted at as a favorite for the O.W.L.s, so, I am content. It is so easy to catch up with studies with so little going on. At least there is Hogsmeade this weekend. Anyone have any major plans yet?

Hexed to Dora Nott
Teeny's birthday is soon. Do you think we should plan something for it?

Dec. 20th, 2009

I definitely had a good feeling about this game. Great first game of the term, Gryffindor.

Private to Adam.
I think I will be needing help with my Potions homework this week. Is tomorrow or Monday better for you?

Dec. 15th, 2009

Hexed to Teeny Kirke and Dora Nott

Alright, basically, I need your advice, because well, these things have happened to the two of you right? I mean, Teeny, Kevin asked you to the dance. Dora, you went with Stewie. What is your opinion on having a friend fancy you, if you're uncertain how you feel about them or the situation in general.

Is it better to give it a go? Or not and keep the friendship intact?

And, if the later, how do you not hurt someone's feelings?

And, you should just know these things, shouldn't you?

I'm just confused.

End of Hex.

I was thinking about this after a small conversation with someone, but what are three words that you would use to describe yourself?

We missed you for Lynne's birthday. Why did you leave for Hogwarts so early? Lynne reckons Ogden must have asked you to, but Mum and Dad have kept pretty mum on the subject. Well, I miss you and I'm sure I'll see you in a few days.
End of Ward.

Warded to Teeny and Dora.

So, Michael came to my house after the whole Gordon thing, what does that mean exactly? He said he got worked up over it and had to know from me that it wasn't true, but couldn't he have done that over journals or through owls?

Also are either of you going to be here for Matt & Lynne's party tomorrow?
End of Ward.

Three more days until school. I'm baking a cake with mum for Lynne and Matt's birthday thing. I suppose the holidays have been full of baking. So, any flavor suggestions?

Oh, and I've settled on the name Galahad for my puffskein. I'm not sure if you can have puffskeins back at the castle, but I've been trying to figure it out. If so, then Zipporah could just stay at home and go back and forth, right? I know you can't have two pets at Hogwarts. Does anyone know?

Dec. 1st, 2009

10.

Happy New Year, everyone.

More importantly...

Happy Birthday, Lynne!

Warded to Lynne
Why did Ioan leave early for Hogwarts? Dad won't say. Neither will mum.
End of ward.

Skiing is one of the most athletic things I have ever done. I'm not exactly brill at it yet, but I don't think I'm terrible either for a first time skiier. Maybe I'm meant to do more winter sports than others. I'm horrible at football. And Quidditch.

On the other hand, I now have a purple puffskein, which I've been informed is a boy, but I have no names in mind. I know Vader isn't going to be used by Julia, but apparently Vader is evil... and puffskeins, not so evil, are they? Any suggestions?

I'm seriously going a bit barmy here. I've bought Ioan a present, but... I'm not sure if it is right. So Star Trek, what do the different color shirts mean? Do you think Ioan is more like this Captain Kirke bloke or more like Spock?

End of Hex.

I do sort of love coming home to Tarrington. It's really tiny, and you can walk around it in all of thirty minutes, but I like the quaintness of it I guess. I'm not sure how I'd really manage in London, though I guess it is like everywhere. You only have to get used to it.

Mum said I could come over the day after tomorrow Teeny, just so you know.

Nov. 18th, 2009

Just a question, if there was a History of Magic club, would you join it? Also, what would you prefer doing in such a club?

Nov. 8th, 2009

Iceskating right after class on Friday. Who's joining?

Men talk of killing time, while time quietly kills them. -Dion Boucicault

You know, I've never really thought about having a career at St. Mungos. I just have a feeling that the life of a medi-witch or Healer isn't for me. I suppose if I practiced a bit more at Potions I could make those. Still, it just doesn't seem like the perfect fit. I want a job where I get to see loads of interesting places or at least hear odd facts or really work on something that is often changing. Does anyone know of any careers like that? I mean, I have two years left, but apparently its good to know.

I'm not sure about this seating arrangement at the ball. I just hope I sit by someone I know. I still haven't got anything figured out for that.

Teeny, I'm bored. I could really use one of your games right now. Because I can't look at another D.A.D.A. note, seriously.
